Pay Scale: Min $100K - Max $133K (US Currency)

Summary: This role is responsible for all Griffith Foods United States (GFUS) accounting items including month end close, forecast reporting, budget preparation, and KPMG Audit process. Identifies areas for performance and reporting improvements and helps drive the implementation of those improvements. Finance/Purchasing Liaison - Supports Purchasing department with monthly PPV analysis, quarterly RM forecasts, annual RM budget, and other reporting needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

GFUS Accounting Items

  • Month end Process - Run the process from start to the final review. Ensure reporting is timely and accurate. Explain major variances and identify any concerns with the current month's results or future results. Assist the Finance Director in presenting month-end results. Ensure account reconciliations are completed monthly for GFUS and Custom Culinary.
  • Forecast Process - Prepare monthly forecast for review by Finance Director including all known changes to budget including sales, RM costs, and department costs. Submit to BPC.
  • Budget Preparation - Lead budget process from start to finish. Develop and adhere to timeline. Support Finance Director in achieving financial guidelines and reporting.
  • KPMG Audit - Lead annual audit activities related to GFUS and supporting areas as well as specific audit related items for Custom Culinary. Liaison between Finance and KPMG.
  • Working Capital - Compile working capital information for both actuals and forecasts. Provide analysis to Vice President of Finance.

Improvement Activities

  • Identify and support implementation of improvements related to company performance and reporting.
  • Be able to identify root cause of issues and determine best ways to resolve them.

Purchasing Reporting Support

  • Raw material budgets and forecasts. The budgets are completed annually, and the forecasts are completed quarterly. An efficient method should be used for reporting and analyzing this data.
  • Reporting raw material needs based off current sales forecasts. Communicate any major changes to purchasing.
  • Monthly reporting of the purchase price variance. The variance should be compared to the budget and the most recent forecast.
  • Financial assistance with GPE-related projects for the purchasing group.
  • Collaborate with employees, suppliers and others to adjust errors and resolve complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's Degree, CPA, or CMA are preferable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Provides coaching opportunities for others to develop and pursue their passions.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Individual must be able to work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent computer skills are required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong experience in ERP database systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • Occasional travel is required in the Chicagoland area. There could be occasional travel to our Lithonia, GA facility.
