Product Owner

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a 9 month contract role with our client in St. Paul, MN. This role is 100% remote.

Project: PLANT Payments Team

Program PLANT is modernizing the existing Mainframe Loan Servicing and Loan Accounting systems for the AgriBank district. The team will be responsible for one of three custom applications centered around money movement. Role will report into Director of Product Optimization

Key Responsibilities:

* Create alignment with customer, especially around the timing and order of deliverables to meet project deadlines.

* Document decisions, especially if scope or timing are changed

* Actively manage product backlog (refinement, prioritization, etc)

* Research and capture requirements for User Stories and AC

* Facilitate story discussions in internal team meetings as needed

* Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standup, demos, etc.)

* QA test, as needed, in preparation of moving to UAT

Key Experience(s)

• Prior experience as a Product Owner/Manager
• Understanding of Scrum practices, especially refinement
• Backlog Prioritization
• Previously run discovery interviews
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially as it pertains to money movement and transactions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in banking or similar lending institutions.
• Previous work in Financial Services or Farm Credit preferred
• Experience with upgrades or migrations of ERP financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Infor, SAP) strongly preferred

• Process-based approach to making prioritization decisions
• Prior professional use of documents instead of meetings to drive decision making preferred

Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay: $60.00 to $70.00/hour
