Title: Staff Two Professional

Location: Seattle, WA

Job Type: Regular Full-time

Anchor QEA, Inc. is seeking a Staff 2 Professional in Seattle, WA. 40 hours/week.

DUTIES:



  • Independently perform engineering analyses/evaluations for a range of multi-disciplinary projects including upload and sediment remediation, waterfront development, restoration, and source control projects.
  • Preparing design documents and supporting deliverables, including engineering calculations, cost estimates, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Field assignments including oversight for conducting environmental sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, and water quality) and oversight and construction inspection support during remedial action project implementation (position may require travel for 30-50%, depending on project needs).
  • Independently provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of environmental and engineering data, including utilizing models, GIS mapping, coding software (EVS, PYTHON, MATLAB, JAVASCRIPT), and the full suite of MS Office programs. Mentoring and training of junior staff on engineering principles and design, depending on existing experience and level. Project and task management, including team assignments and coordination, client interaction, and production of deliverables.



MIN. REQ.:



  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a role such as Junior Engineer, Engineering Technician, Field Engineer, Engineering Intern, or related role.



SPECIAL SKILLS:



  • 2 years of experience in the use of programming languages (such as Python or MATLAB) for data processing and data analysis.
  • 1 year of experience independently reviewing large sediment sampling data sets to incorporate into remediation design or stakeholder decision-making.
  • 2 years of experience in the development of an engineering design under the oversight of a senior engineer.
  • 6 months of experience developing engineering and cost estimates for sediment remediation.
  • Position may require travel and/or fieldwork for up to approximately 50%, depending on project needs; actual amount of time will vary over the course of a year.
  • Required travel is primarily domestic but may occasionally require international travel.



CERT./LICENSE:

Washington Professional Engineer (PE), or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with plan to obtain Washington PE within the next 3 years.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

Salary ranges from $112,549 - $125,490.00/year
