JOB OVERVIEW: This position is responsible to, under general guidance, develop, execute, and drive education programs, events, and key opinion leader (KOL) relationships and development programs to ensure achievement of company objectives. Coordinate customer education events across the various PBUs in the Henry Schein Products Group, specifically Restoratives & Preventatives, Endodontics, and Orthodontics. Responsibilities for other PBUs may be added as the business demands evolve. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), other clinicians and researchers, academic institutions, professional organizations, and other key healthcare professional (HCP) stakeholder groups. Develop, execute, and drive KOL development programs, including sponsorship support and increased podium presence to highlight HSPG offerings.
- Manage and assess value of the RDH clinical champion's network, including decisions to participate in office trainings, speakers' bureaus, study clubs and other industry events, and obtain and incorporate their testimonials for us in marketing and education materials.
- Identify, assess, and provide necessary training, materials, and support for KOL speakers to maximize effectiveness with symposia, HSPG CE events, and other educational programs, with approved and up-to-date materials, slides sets, abstracts, posters, etc.
- Attend dental meetings and symposia and engage in productive discussions with attendees. Attend scientific conferences, gather information, and summarize findings for applicable HSPG personnel.
- Develop, implement, and monitor continuing education programs; create brochures, multimedia visual aids and presentations, and other training and support materials as needed.
- Develop overall budget for HSPG Prof Ed activities, including logistics and resource planning; manage costs within budget.
- Develop and maintain strong clinical knowledge, critical market insight, and industry awareness to guide strategic decision-making.
- Work with PBU Prof Ed leaders to ensure timely and professional execution of all elements of events on the event calendar.
- Create or assist in creation of new event types, business and marketing models, marketing campaigns and/or materials, media content, product lectures and systems to provide efficiencies and a higher level of value and service to customers.
- Develop event marketing campaigns, messages, and materials to increase enrollment at company sponsored events and tradeshows, working closely with product managers and sales team members. Oversee and assist in deployment of event marketing activities.
- Manage HSPG PBU Prof Ed Leaders on a daily basis to ensure that individual goals are being met.
- Oversee HSPG PBUs AGD Accreditation renewal applications and ongoing compliance.
- Develop and implement continuing education, sponsorship, and tradeshow metrics and analyses; identify and make recommendations to management for continual program improvement and implement upon approval.
- Work closely with sales and marketing management to drive event sales and enrollment in continuing education events.
- Monitor, analyze, and manage costs in area of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain productive and effective relationships with subordinates, peers, and superiors.
- Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.
- Review work reports, papers, and other records prepared by other personnel for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and conformance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Respond to unsolicited requests from dental professionals for information about HSPG products and services as requested.
- Report on departmental activities to senior management.
- Other projects as assigned.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Typically 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience including 5 to 7 years' experience in dental education, professional relations, event management; 5 or more years of management experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel typically up to 30%, including extended and/or overnight stays. No special physical demands required.
