Software Developer

Overview

SCCI is currently seeking a Software Developer to join our team! In this position you will support a program that providessystems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program. This position is located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements
• Maintain databases within an application area, working independently or as part of a development team

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizenand have an Active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science or IT discipline from an accredited college or university
• Must have three (3) to ten (10) years of relevant software development experience
• Must have proficient understanding of Agile S/W development

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Senior Computer Network Architecture background is preferred
