Description
Core Responsibilities: Strategic Marketing Planning:
- Working with senior company leaders, develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with Barnes Aerospace's growth objectives.
- Work within key customer market segments (e.g., MRO, OEM, military, commercial aviation, Industrial Aeroderivative) and tailor marketing strategies accordingly. Support strategic business development with market intelligence and positioning.
Brand Management:
- Ensure brand governance and consistency across all touchpoints. Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns and ensure integrated messaging.
- Develop messaging that communicates the company's unique value proposition in aerospace repair and manufacturing.
Digital Marketing & Content Strategy:
- Develop and lead social media channel strategies and governance policies, architecture, and content strategy. Oversee website strategy, SEO/SEM, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms, and drive key business analytics to increase inbound traffic, visibility, and generate commercial leads.
- Accountable for developing digital dashboards, including website analytics, brand and media performance, and engagement.
- Create/manage creation of technical content (whitepapers, case studies, videos, etc.) that resonates with key stakeholders - employees, customers, suppliers, and aerospace market interested companies. Manage all channels for marketing campaigns and CRM integration (Salesforce).
Tradeshow & Event Management:
- Plan and execute presence at key industry events. Coordinate booth design, materials, logistics, and post-event lead follow-up strategy. Support the sales team in preparing for and maximizing event ROI through effective event marketing, promotions, and meeting schedule management.
Sales Enablement:
- Develop marketing collateral (datasheets, pitch decks, capability brochures) to support the commercial team.
- Establish / Maintain a sales hub/sales SharePoint site to house master data usable by sales personnel.
- Provide tools/messaging to improve proposal quality & consistency. Partner with BD/sales on customer presentations and RFP responses.
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor aerospace trends, competitor analysis & activities, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct customer and market analysis to provide suggestions on product positioning, pricing strategies, and regional expansion.
- Manage relationships with external agencies (design, PR, digital) as needed to economically deliver the required solutions on time and budget
Communications:
- Work closely with Communications and adhere to company guidelines for external and internal communications and promotions.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership to ensure marketing initiatives align with business priorities.
- Report KPIs and marketing ROI to leadership regularly.
- Assist/support integration communications that foster high engagement with employees and support the company culture and vision.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years' experience in marketing, digital marketing, or sales marketing. Previous industrial or aerospace marketing experience is a plus.
- Work cross-functionally to identify solutions to complex problems, inform business leaders about the digital marketing experience, and clearly articulate how we measure value through digital marketing.
- Strong familiarity with executing best practices in all digital functions, including web development, acquisition marketing (email, banner ads, online video, paid search, and SEO, etc.), Content Management Systems (CRM), and web analytics.
- Experience with mobile marketing and commercialization -- mobile app development, connected tools, and responsive sites and landing pages.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards and analytics, and communicating results effectively to senior management.
- Exceptional communication skills-verbal, written, and interpersonal with leadership, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- People management and external agency management experience are strongly desired.
- Independent, creative self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize in a highly energetic, fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Up to approximately 25-30% travel per year (some international travel may be required).
