Event Logistics Associate, Las Noches de las Luminarias - Seasonal

Description Position Purpose Ensure set-up and teardown of Las Noches de Luminarias is handled safely, promptly, and to Garden standards. Essential Duties * Prepare and install/de-install string lights on trees * Prepare and setup rooftop Luminarias * Prepare and set out Luminaria bags on trails * Change out candles in Luminaria bags * Ensure the safety of guests around fire pits * Provide event-related services during the Luminaria event, such as equipment handling and deliveries * Perform related general tasks as requested by the Event Manager and Event Services Staff Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour Requirements Competencies * Must be 18 years of age in order to transport alcohol as part of job requirements * Must have good communication skills and time management - Must possess exemplary customer service skills - A valid Arizona driver's license required -Ability to work off-hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays Equipment Used The role requires the use of small tools, ladders, and power tools. The ability to drive a cart is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made, when necessary and feasible, to allow a qualified individual to perform essential job functions. Internal Communication Frequent communication with Garden staff in multiple departments. External Communication Occasional communication with visitors, vendors, and partners. Working Conditions Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, see, hear, speak, read, and type. Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds required. Must be able to climb a ladder, be comfortable working with heights (including rooftops), and be physically capable of operating small handtools. This role will require outdoor work in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
