Job Summary: The Event & Brand Partnership Coordinator assists the Event & Brand Partnership Manager in developing, executing and evaluating event programming and sponsorship deliverables that support Palisades Tahoe's goals and works with the functional areas of marketing to ensure promotion of events. This role focuses on events and brand activations that enhance the base area and on-mountain guest experience. This position will not work on competitive athletic events, like ski races, but rather brand activations, base area events and some non-competitive, on-mountain activations.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.50 - $28.69 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

Event Oversight:
  • Assist the Event and Partnership Manager with concept, planning, logistics and execution of on-site events.
  • Work with the Event and Partnership Manager on creative marketing and communications strategies to promote events:
  • Updating Palisades Tahoe website & 3rd Party event websites
  • Poster, banner, and signage distribution.
  • Work with digital marketing team to incorporate event promotion into email and social media channels.
  • Work with various departments at Palisades Tahoe between normal resort operations and event operations to minimize event impact on guest experience.
  • Assist in scheduling and staffing levels for all events.
  • Creates the monthly newsletter.
  • Creating & distributes event sheets.
  • Ensures proper representation of events on website.
  • Help create event recaps.
  • Assist the Sponsorship Manager on executing resort sponsorship agreements.
  • Help track all deliverables and compile into end of season recaps to present to partners
  • Assist with the coordinate on-site sponsor activations.
  • Execute on-site sponsor giveaways.
  • Work with marketing team to fulfill sponsorship agreements.

  • Communication: Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. Able to effectively present information to the executive team, management, employees, and customers. Excellent written, presentation and oral communications, resourcefulness, attention to detail, ability to plan ahead and anticipate change-plans and creativity.
  • Organization & Time Management: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manages resources and time. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to make independent judgments which have considerable impacts on the organization. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Results oriented thinking, effective judgment, self-motivation.
  • Working knowledge of computers including MS Office, presentation tools and ability to create compelling sponsor decks and wrap reports.
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and understand viewpoints and constraints across the organization for collaboration and consensus building solutions.
  • Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate/advanced level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing insert % or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 35lbs. Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Recreation or related field
  • At least 2 years of work in the event planning and/or account management field
  • Experience in a customer service role, or in the ski resort industry
