The Job A Senior Program Manager for Clinical Strategy & Operations in Health Care Services is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects within the clinical operations team that will improve clinical outcomes, member experience. They lead cross-functional projects, develop project plans, monitor progress, allocate resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Senior Program Managers also communicate with stakeholders, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate challenges. They play a key role in driving organizational success and achieving strategic You Will Executes programs and manage portfolios of programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers. Works with strategic project stakeholders to develop and oversee project status reports including: key accomplishments, risks, issues, action items, upcoming activities, deliverable examples, etc. Lead project status update meetings with strategic operating committees. Executes the projects within the portfolio by leading the work of the project resources (internal and/or external) in a Monitors and controls all aspects of the project by measuring progress and correcting course when project goes beyond scope or is not meeting goals and objectives. Ensures project remains on timeline by managing schedules and resources and removing barriers. Works with project team, sponsors and/or Directors, VPs, and other executive leaders to negotiate changes such as scope, timeline, deliverables and integration points. Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics. Creates executive level dashboards, reports, presentations, and can communicate effectively across the organization. Works closely with Data & Analytics team to develop reporting for KPIs and other performance measurement and leads activities such as sprint planning alongside business stakeholders. Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations. Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders. Serves as leader of authority with expert-level knowledge in one or more areas. As needed conducts in-depth strategic research, identifies new solutions and provides advisory and analytical support to enable to the broader SCAN strategy as well as strategic initiatives. Plans, organizes, and guides projects and subordinate employees. May be called on to consult in other areas. Your Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Healthcare or Business Administration. Preferred: Graduate or Advanced Degree or equivalent experience; MPH, MBA, MHA. Required: 5+ years project or program management, with an Intermediate to Advanced understanding of project management principals. Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification, preferred. 5+ years experience within the healthcare industry, preferred. Demonstrated capability of planning for short- and long-range goals. Moderate to strong skills in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, and problem-solving. Experience with collecting requirements and analyzing inter/intra-departmental processes. Familiarity with data, analytics, data science, Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies. Leadership - Skilled to develops others Business Insight - In-Depth understanding of the business Strategic Mindset - Creates strategies to sustain competitive advantage Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in group motivation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills required; with experience in formal presentations, ability to appropriately and effectively address diverse audiences and ability to effectively facilitate group interactions. Adapts to changes in priorities and assignments quickly and efficiently and is flexible with project assignments. Proven self-starter, excellent organizational characteristics, quality minded; able to work independently and with limited supervision. Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality.
