Description Position Purpose Help provide a welcoming, safe, secure environment for the Garden's collections, its members, visitors, volunteers and staff while maintaining the Garden's customer service program and standards. As part of the Exhibits team, the Gallery Attendant Lead will protect media and equipment in the indoor exhibition FRAMERATE: Desert Pulse and the facilities in The RAF Exhibit Gallery. Provide for the safety and security of guests, staff members and Garden volunteers. Enforce all policies and procedures. The Gallery Attendant Lead performs all duties of the Gallery Attendant Associate and assists in maintaining, coordinating and sharing the Gallery Attendant schedule to the Associate team. The Gallery Attendant Lead is a uniformed, unarmed position that is trained in knowledge of the exhibition and Garden customer service. Position Timeline Gallery open hours and dates: FRAMERATE: Desert Pulse exhibition October 9, 2025 - May 10, 2025, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily (with extended hours, October 9-May 10 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday- Sunday only) shifts are 4, 6 or 8 hours Equipment Used Typical office equipment, cleaning supplies; this role will also use a two-way radio. Internal Communication Frequent interaction with all Garden employees. External Communication Frequent communication with visitors and possible vendors. Working Conditions Some physical effort beyond what's typically required in a normal office environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate, constant ambient music with occasional amplified sound throughout the workspace. The workspace is a low lighting environment with digital artwork on LED screens, light strobing may be present in some works.
