Under broad guidance, the Condition Assessment Inspector is responsible for performing construction inspection and conditional inspections on the interceptor system across the HRSD service area. Ensuring all condition assessment inspections are performed in accordance with the CMOM and Prevented Maintenance Manual and activities are properly planned, documented, and tracked in HRSD’s Computerized Maintenance Management System. Job Requirements: Education Required • High School diploma or GED Desired • HRSD’s Apprenticeship Program Certificate or Associate’s degree. Experience Required • Combined 3 years experience with pressurized or gravity conveyance infrastructure Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required • Valid driver’s license from state of residence • Commercial Driver License within one year • NASSCO (PACP/MACP/ LACP) ability to obtain within 6 months Position Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for the Gravity Cleaning, CCTV and Manhole Inspection programs. • Coordinates with the Design and Construction project team to schedule and perform opportunistic condition assessment. • Performs non-destructive thickness testing equipment to determine the remaining wall thickness of pipelines and structures. • Performs field measurements and prepares sketches of field conditions. • Performs gravity cleaning, CCTV and Manhole inspections. • Ensures all software associated with CCTV equipment is kept up to date. • Coordinates with vendors to resolve equipment issues. • Organizes, assigns, and inspects work performed on the Gravity Cleaning, CCTV and Manhole inspection programs. • Assists with the development and inspection of various Condition Assessment Programs related to pipelines, pump station’s, corrosion protection, air entrainment elimination, and thickness testing. • Ensures all personnel are properly trained and HRSD resources are effectively utilized. HRSD - Condition Assessment Inspector - Interceptors • Assists in the operational deployment of various programs and computer related field activities to include CMMS, GIS, workforce mobilization, and other future efforts. • Responsible for the inventory and maintenance of all equipment and spare parts related to the performance of job duties. • Deploys portable pressure and flow meters. • Assists with Condition Assessment Superintendent duties while the position is vacant or on leave. • Follows principles and goals of HRSD Quality Improvement initiatives • Performs all other duties as assigned Skills and Qualification Requirements • Must support a diverse and inclusive work environment where differences are respected and embraced • Must be currently authorized to work for any U.S. employer Physical and Mental Requirements • Must have the physical dexterity to accomplish the duties defined herein • The ability to lift 50 pounds • Must be medically certified to wear a respirator up to half an hour • Must be willing to work around hazardous materials • Must be able to periodically work in OSHA designated noise environment • The ability to walking, standing, climbing or bend for more than 5 hours a day.
