Position Title: Human Resources - Contract
Wage: Based on Experience Duration: 6 - 8 Months We're looking for a dynamic and well-rounded HR Generalist to join our team and help support a variety of essential HR functions. This position plays a key role in delivering an excellent employee experience, ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor laws, and providing hands-on support in areas such as payroll, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, training, and performance management. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, workplace questions, and concerns - Support employee relations and promote a positive work culture - Assist with full-cycle recruiting: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and hiring - Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new team members - Administer and support employee benefits, including enrollments and changes - Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner; ensure data integrity and compliance - Review timecards, paid time off (PTO) requests, and deductions - Address and resolve payroll and benefits-related inquiries - Coordinate employee training programs and track participation - Help manage performance review cycles, goal-setting, and coaching initiatives - Assist with employee development plans and performance improvement processes - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies - Maintain accurate employee records and support HR data reporting and audits - Identify process improvements and contribute to HR initiatives and projects Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred - 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role - Prior experience with payroll processing and HRIS/payroll systems - Strong understanding of HR practices, benefits, and employment laws - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills - Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, or Paylocity is a plus - Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion |
