Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate, Business Services / Home Health Care.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for all clerical activities related to the clinical team. Assists with nursing and administrative staff to meet agency and institutional goals, and other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Retrieve referrals from Hospital Intake Department via fax or e-mail. Receives referrals and roster from intake unit daily. Keys appropriate data into computer system in order to complete patient admission into WUH CHHA.
- Copies and distributes the referrals to the appropriate team supervisor and/or business service associate by 3:00pm. Tracks field staff as needed. Rotates to schedule work for the weekend. Answers patients and insurer s calls in a timely manner
- Screens and routes all phone calls as necessary. Weekends/holiday responsibilities include: Confirming staffing schedule
- Assigns work. Copies and completes assignment sheets. Collects coverage sheets for team.
- Prepares supplies and various items for weekend nursing staff. Does photocopying and filing as necessary. Demonstrates proficiency in use of business and clinical computer system as necessary.
- Contacts the appropriate department to arrange for installation/repair of related equipment.
- Orders all supplies, DME, labs and transportation as needed.
- Utilizes technology to improve productivity and process.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED. 1 - 2 years Business or Healthcare facility experience. Excellent communication skills (both oral & written), interpersonal and organization skills. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $39,878.31 - $55,621.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
