Summary of the Job:

The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that teams have information and support to help them complete the deliverables of each sprint, and makes sure teams are protected from unscheduled work and roadblocks. The Scrum Master is responsible for scheduling and facilitating team ceremonies and may attend Program team meetings. This role has accountability for the overall completion of deliverables in each Sprint.

About This Role:

As an Associate Scrum Master within First National Information Technology group, you will be accountable for building high performing Agile teams and ensuring the completion of IT deliverables. The individual in this position provides the leadership and experience to enable the team to develop goals, identify and remove impediments, work collaboratively across the organization and help mitigate risks.

Associate Scrum Masters do more than just facilitate Agile ceremonies, they promote an Agile mindset and lead continuous improvement within FNBO's delivery system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate agile activities and meetings- including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Works with Product Owners and Program Managers to understand the product road-map, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery
  • Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self-organization
  • Lead team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard agile metrics and reporting techniques
  • Manage dependencies across the organization
  • Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations
  • Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use
  • Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality

    The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

    Job Qualifications:

    • Familiarity and understanding ofcommon Agile practices
    • Leadership and team building capabilities including coaching, guiding and supporting team members
    • Proficient in conflict resolution and problem solving techniques
    • Strong, effective communication skills, ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work towards a shared goal
    • Strong organizational skills
    Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

    Compensation:

    Compensation range (base pay): $68,251.00-$112,615.00

    This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

    Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
