The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Hospital wide and HOPD coordinator of pharmacy automation, including but not limited to Pyxis with a focus on day-t0-day operation and monitoring of system. This individual will be considered a subject matter expert in the use of the ADM system.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Hospital pharmacy technician experience required
  • 1 year experience with pharmacy automation and EHR system

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Current licensure as a pharmacy technician with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time
  • 9:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Monday-Friday and weekends if necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates the procurement setup, installation and expansions of the ADM system
  • Participates in design and strategy meetings to assess ADM needs for new construction
  • Coordinates and assures that all systems such as network, emergency power, space, etc., are ready for "go-live"
  • oversee and manage medication inventory to all hospital owned off-site areas across Jersey City
  • Oversees the expansion of the ADM system include assessing, facilitating, and tracking optimization and dynamic inventory
  • Participates in and coordinates all technology upgrades and go-lives under the oversight of the informatics pharmacist
  • Communicates the status of the ADM product, projects, activities, and issues to Pharmacy, Nursing, Respiratory and Medical staffs as needed
  • Monitors and addresses system issues; assists in resolving ADM system issues
  • Coordinates local needs with both corporate and local IT and Epic analysts
  • Assures cleanliness and monitors draws and cubies to identify and replace broken or soiled hardware
  • Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and logs service tickets when needed
  • Reviews ADM provider tickets regularly to identify trends and escalate if necessary
  • Installs new hardware or software when required
  • Accompanies vendor field service technicians to care areas to perform repairs as necessary
  • Assists in the surveillance for CDS diversion
  • Establishes daily batch reports
  • Facilitates and monitors staff training
  • Requests new drug entities to be added as necessary
  • Works with ADM provider to schedule and perform regular preventative maintenance
  • Manages the user database and maintains an up-to-date user list and activates, deactivates users as necessary
