Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services, a unit of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the UIC College of Pharmacy is seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician III, Oncology Lead for our Oncology Clinic Pharmacy located in the UI Health Outpatient Care Center. The Oncology Pharmacy team requires a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified pharmacy technician who has at least 3 years of experience in preparing, compounding, and labeling sterile preparations, including hazardous chemotherapeutic agents. Demonstrated experience with IV admixture, USP 797/800 in a hospital or outpatient setting is required. This position is primarily a day shift position Monday - Friday with a range of hours between 7:30am and 5:30pm. Duties & Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications: 1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Illinois. 2. Any one of the following that equals six (6)months: A) Successful completion of a formal training program in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices. OR B) Work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices. 3. Three (3) years (36 months) of progressively more responsible work experience as a pharmacy technician, which included one (1) year of lead worker duties. 4. Must be a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)-certified Pharmacy Technician. 5. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile compounding required. This time is concurrent with the three-year experience listed in the MAQs. 6. Demonstrated ability to apply U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) Chapters 797 and 800 standards in practice within a hospital or outpatient setting. Preferred Qualifications:
