Plans for, leads, coordinates and facilitates the provision of quality care and service for a defined population of patients and facilitates the procurement of appropriate supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver nursing care. The Nurse Manager demonstrates excellence in problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, consultation and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment. She/He collaborates with administrators and other members of the health care team to design, evaluate and improve patient care systems and processes. She/he supports nursing professional development, Magnet, and Shared Governance through participation in, and mentoring of colleagues, on councils and the Clinical Ladder program. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred. Specialty/leadership certification preferred (for example CCRN, CEN, NE-BC, other) within 2 years of hire AND Experience: 3+ years acute care experience required; experience in a similar or 'like' unit is preferred: demonstrated leadership and management potential. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS required based on organizational guidelines/polices. ACLS and PALS as required by department. Certification in specialty preferred If Certification is required on a specific unit; certification must be obtained within one year of hire date. Salary Range $104,966.27 to $149,576.46The actual hiring rate will be determined based on candidate experience, skills and qualifications. This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.
