Truck Driver Landover, MD Pay: $27.75 per hour MUST: Experienced Truck Driver 3-5 years of experience as a CDL Class A Truck Driver Experience operating a 10 speed daycab tractor Experience driving 48 foot trailer Ability to manuever in tight spaces Knowledge of DOT Hazmat safety protocols Must have a clean driving record CDL Class A License required DUTIES: Check the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Check the vehicle to ensure all DOT Hazmat and safety placards are secured and displayed correctly. Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions and checking that the vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned and tied down. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify instructions and routes. Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Properly securing cargo for transport to ensure the load is secure. Submit reports as required to the JPLC project manager on a daily and weekly basis. Ability to be 100% responsible for the load.
