SITECH Southeast Texas, a leading provider of construction technology solutions and a trusted partner in the Trimble dealer network, is hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer to support our procurement and supply chain operations.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory levels, sourcing materials, and ensuring smooth operations for our growing technology, marine, and heavy equipment divisions. Based in Houston, TX, this role offers vast growth opportunities, a dynamic work environment, and the chance to be part of an innovative team shaping the future of construction.

What You'll Do as a Buyer:

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure timely acquisition of materials, parts, and equipment
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure best-in-class pricing, quality, and delivery timelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to determine material requirements and forecast demand
• Maintain and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
• Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for key products and equipment
• Enter and manage purchase orders, monitor order status, and follow up with vendors
• Support accounting and inventory teams by ensuring order accuracy and invoice matching
• Stay up to date on market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing improvements
• Utilize QuickBooks and other software systems to track procurement activity
• Answer multi-line phone system and provide professional internal/external communication

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Basic understanding of QuickBooks
• Solid grasp of inventory management processes
• Experience building and managing Bills of Materials
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Professional phone etiquette and experience with a multi-line phone system
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database tools

Preferred Education:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Will consider equivalent industry experience in lieu of formal education
• Background in construction, purchasing, or technology solutions is a plus
