Overview
Data Link Management Senior (SME) LOCATION: Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret TRAVEL: As Needed Astrion is seeking technical expertise for the CUAS Product Office, International Directorate. Provide technical know-how to create staff and organization, along with identification of position functions of a Data Link Management Cell, inform curriculum development, and develop tools (advanced capabilities) working with the International Directorate and Security Cooperation Partners. This will involve utilization of Model-Based Systems Engineering to provide an efficient and collaborative approach. Products and training implemented will directly benefit the development or enhancement of Joint Interface Control Officer (JICOs) and their foreign military equivalent personnel. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- JT-301 Graduate
- 10+years experience in systems integration and Interface Control Officer role/responsibility
- Strong understanding of command and control systems, radar, missiles, and gun effectors, and electronic warfare principles
- Experience with military defense systems, tactical data links, and interoperability
- Proven track record of successful complex system integrations
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Maintain a SECRET security clearance (Active SECRET security clearance is required)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience with military joint or army interface control cell programs and requirements
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes
- Background in air defense systems, radar systems, RF detection, or electronic warfare
- Familiarity with military Air Defense C2 systems and architecture
- Experience in software development and using Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, or SQL
- CompTIA certification(s)
- Master's degree in related technical field

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead technical discussion and discovery of data link management cell core competencies
- Provide DLMC critical task list
- Nominate current JID-TC courses for inclusion of DLMC institutional/doctrinal education
- Investigate and report alternative learning and training options for DLMCs
- Provide development plans to create DLMC training once education and training gaps are identified
- Oversee development or documentation of best practices for DLMCs based on observations and experience
- Develop DLMC specific tactical data link resources as decided and approved by USG for eventual government data rights
