Summary: The Neurology Nurse Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to neurology programs. The coordinator actively cultivates collaboration, enthusiasm and mutual respect while planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating the neurology programs focusing on ALS and memory care, which are designed to optimize outcomes in care, maximize the consumer's involvement in his/her plan of care, improve service levels, reduce length of hospitalization, and decrease costs. The coordinator assumes joint responsibility with the practice, service line and program medical directors for achievement of program standards and ongoing quality management. The coordinator is pivotal in integrating neurology services throughout the healthcare continuum (Respiratory therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutritionist and social worker). Other Information Other information: Qualifications: Required * Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states. * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred * Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) * 1 - 3 years of direct clinical patient care experience in caring for consumers in an ambulatory care setting.
