Staff Physical Therapist

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with neurological, medical or musculoskeletal disorders or conditions that impact activities of daily living, mobility and independence. Plans, organizes and directs patients in recommended activities that improve and manage their conditions and restore or increase functional independence, mobility and comfort.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited curriculum with a degree in Physical Therapy.

Licensure/

Certification

Current North Carolina State license or eligible. BLS required.

Experience

Prior experience preferred, but new graduates encouraged to apply.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to motivate, educate and encourage patients.

* Knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based PT practices. Familiar with acute care, orthopedics, and neurologic patient treatment procedures.

* Ability to interpret clinician prescriptions and referrals.

* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

* Proficient with MS Office and Epic\EMR software, and the ability to learn new software rapidly.
