From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Relief Production Supervisor, based in Nampa, ID. The Relief Production Supervisor supports the department manager in improving both the technical and financial performance of the cheese production department. This role leads the team to meet production goals related to volume, cost, timelines, and quality, while ensuring a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. The Relief Supervisor steps in for other supervisors as needed and performs key supervisory duties in alignment with company standards.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Supervise and organize the work of the production team on designated shift

* Supervise team: integrate, train, appraise, discipline and ensure development

* Lead team: delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control, listen

* Gauge training needs and participate in proposing training timelines

* Keep line management informed

* Apply well-defined standards (costs, budgets)

* Record, analyze and evaluate production data and determine the negative or positive net effect

* Lead and control various production parameters and implement corrective actions

* Propose technical and organizational improvements to line management

* Be involved in trials (machines, products, processes etc.)

* Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed

* Participate in analyzing occupational hazards

* Apply and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices

* Follow food safety laws, rules and regulations

* Key contributor to the maintenance of the FSSC22000 system

* Work closely with Quality to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually being met

* Comply with all Lactalis Policies and Procedures

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Diary Science/ Chemistry or science related field preferred

* 2 Years experience in cheese production and/or food industry

* 2 Years experience in management/ supervisory role

* Stable and dependable work history is required
