As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The Project Manager will provide leadership and coordination across a portfolio of IT and infrastructure projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery. Based at a government or military facility, the Project Manager will oversee full project life cycles to support a range of international operations, including aviation and law enforcement activities in geographically diverse and remote locations

Project Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee IT operations including WAN, LAN, and server infrastructure supporting INL Air Plan, manage, and deliver technical and operational projects supporting INL Air Wing operations, including IT systems, aviation logistics, and security enhancements.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including field offices, federal partners, and foreign governments.

  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with leadership and technical leads.

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones; manage risk and issue resolution across dispersed operating environments.

  • Lead regular project status meetings, prepare executive-level reports, and ensure all stakeholders are informed of project progress.

  • Ensure projects meet U.S. Government standards, security requirements, and mission-critical operational timelines.

  • Supporting IT, security, and operations leads to integrating project requirements into enterprise-wide strategies.

  • Document project activities, decisions, and lessons learned for future reference and audit compliance.

  • Provide logistical and technical planning for deployments, upgrades, and system transitions in coordination with the IT Program Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification from PMI.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience managing medium-to-large projects in IT, aviation support, or government operations.
    • Experience supporting international or multi-site projects, particularly in security-sensitive or resource-limited environments, is highly preferred.
    • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Familiarity with government contracting U.S. Department of State or Department of Defense operations.
    • Strong understanding of project life cycles, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
    • Proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget while managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Abilities:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
    • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in dynamic mission environments.
    • Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SharePoint).
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
