Job Summary:

The Cloud Architect II is responsible for designing a micro services based system architecture, architect for scalability and resilience, design our CI/CD pipeline and guide us in DevOps automation and best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, build and deploy Cloud solutions across CareSource's Azure tenant
  • Serves as lead of our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and is responsible for defining and delivering our enterprise cloud governance model
  • Recommends Information Technology and cloud solutions and/or strategies by using technical breadth across multiple areas
  • Create documentation and implementation plans to allow support teams to build and manage the internal cloud environment
  • Manages strategic alliances among partners, key business stakeholders, and IT teams to promote adoption and interoperability of applications and infrastructure solutions in a cloud environment
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews
  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services, from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement
  • Identifies new product features and feature gaps, provides guidance on existing product issues, and collaborates with Engineering, Development, and Security teams in solution creation to influence the growth of the cloud adoption
  • Serves as a technical leader undertaking complex initiatives requiring specialized technical knowledge
  • Partners across business and technology disciplines to present and deliver the needed architectures focusing on a cloud first mentality
  • Leads discussions with key stakeholders to design a hybrid cloud disaster recovery (DR) strategy and guides internal and external resources through deployment and testing processes
  • Works with strategic vendors and partners to review and influence product roadmaps, strategies, execute PoC's, and identify gaps and solutions
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining IT standards and procedures
  • Performs any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Ten (10) years' experience in related areas including four (4) years of Azure experience designing and supporting large scale cloud environments
  • Experience scripting skills with languages such as python
  • Experience setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Github Action)
  • Experience developing and implementing Web technologies, Micro Services, Restful APIs, Integration/Middleware technologies, and real-time Complex Event Processing preferred

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to facilitate bidirectional exchange of insights discovered from test and learn activities and production operations
  • Skilled ability in sharing cloud knowledge across Technology to improve the adoption of cloud architecture standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of running and maintaining containers and using tools such as Docker or Kubernetes in Production
  • Technical expert in cloud and on-prem computing, storage and networking architecture
  • Understanding of various services and solutions - DRaaS, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS including all cloud models (public, private, hybrid, multi)
  • Ability to lift and shift existing applications to public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Expert level understanding of on-premise/edge infrastructure design (storage, compute, network)
  • Expert level understanding of current vendor technology offerings in the hybrid cloud space
  • Proficient understanding of source code management tools (e.g. Git)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native coding and development

Licensure and Certification:

  • CISSP, CCSP, CISM, TOGAF or other security and/or Enterprise Architecture methodology certifications preferred

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
