Join Our Team as a Laboratory Analyst!

Are you passionate about analytical testing and eager to contribute to innovative projects? We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Analyst to support our Utz network laboratory system and R&D team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited about making a significant impact on our company's success.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct precise analytical testing on raw materials, finished goods, and benchtop samples.
  • Perform daily calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate lab equipment.
  • Research lab equipment capabilities, methodologies, and process settings.
  • Lead analytical projects, providing status updates, data, and final summaries.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project initiatives.
  • Travel to manufacturing locations to support lab initiatives and project execution.
  • Manage the network lab equipment loaner program.
  • Develop GLPs, SOPs, and equipment troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain inventory of lab PPE, chemicals, and consumables.
  • Assist with sample procurement, preparation, and shipping.
  • Escalate food safety and quality issues to leadership as needed.
  • Perform other duties to support company and department objectives.



Qualifications:



  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a laboratory environment, QA food manufacturing, or R&D.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory testing methods for snack foods, including analytical and sensory evaluation.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical skills with the ability to analyze data and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in developing technical written instructions and SOPs.
  • Effective time management skills to balance priorities and multiple projects.
  • High level of organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comfortable presenting data and training materials to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to interface across several organizational levels.
  • Intermediate experience with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Minitab.
