Associate Sustainability Consultant Your tasks
Position Summary: The role of the Associate Sustainability Consultant is focused on delivering client-facing project work for a variety of project scopes within the Sustainability Department. This role involves working with a diverse team of sustainability professionals tasked with delivering projects spanning all phases of the building lifecycle for a large roster of commercial real estate clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainability, eager to learn, and capable of contributing to project outcomes while ensuring client satisfaction. Responsibilities: - Project Support & Execution Perform billable project work for a variety of clients; as well as a variety of project types such as LEED BD+C, LEED ID+C, LEED O+M, Fitwel, WELL, BREEAM. Track deadlines and project schedules for multiple projects running on different timelines. Execute assigned project activities following defined project schedules, and actively escalate any issues that may impact task or project delivery (timeline, deliverable quality, etc.) Gather, organize, and analyze data related to energy usage, water efficiency, waste management, and other sustainability metrics. Prepare documentation to support certification submissions. Support and/or facilitate clear and consistent internal/external project communications on a variety of topics such as project needs, progress updates, and deliverable details via meetings, emails, calls and other appropriate communication channels. - Teamwork & Professional Development Complete timesheets, management check-ins, and expense reports in a timely manner. Become familiar with SIG's core sustainability services and gain virtual and on-site experience by shadowing team members. Seek and obtain knowledge and expertise in green building sustainable design techniques relevant to new construction and existing building certifications. Actively participate in weekly Team, Department, and/or Company Meetings. Contribute ideas for how to improve technical or operational processes and standards. Participate in continuing education to maintain and grow your professional credentials. Participate in LEED, WELL, BREEAM, and/or other industry associations' opportunities. Track short and long-term personal and professional goals throughout the year The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $55,000-$60,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a related field 6 months to one year of consulting and project management experience, Key sustainability certifications (LEED, WELL, BREEAM). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of local, regional, and national sustainable business strategies, as well as key sustainability tools and techniques. Innovative team player offering versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with acute attention to detail. Ability to analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and recommend actions. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to excellence and high standards.
