Scope:

The Manufacturing and Quality Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for all facets of manufacturing, including shop floor and quality processes in an Aerospace and Defense project environment. In this role, the SME will work on a project implementation team, partnering with IT business analysts and developers to ensure seamless transitions to the Oracle EBS platform. The Manufacturing and Quality SME will also provide ongoing guidance and support to the business after the transition occurs at each site.

Duties:

  • Demonstrate a full understanding of area of responsibility including but not limited to manufacturing, shop floor, and quality processes and systems in an assembly environment; along with the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
  • Builds strong rapport with and champions the interests of the stakeholders at each site including manufacturing, quality, IT implementation team, users, and leadership.
  • Understand local site policies and processes upfront at each relevant site.
  • Identify areas where change management strategies will be needed and partner to implement.
  • Develop and execute training plans, partner with management to identify and train Super Users at each site and prepare Super Users to train End Users.
  • Participate in all blueprinting, pilots, user acceptance tests and go-live meetings for each site.
  • Make and approve Manufacturing and Quality process decisions, identify gaps in future processes and approve changes to future processes.
  • Escalate issues to steering committee as needed to ensure decisions are made at the appropriate level.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive expertise, practical experience and deep business knowledge of best practices in manufacturing and quality within the defense industry.
  • Ability to identify change resistance and articulate concerns that arise.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS and related systems/processes.
  • Experienced problem solver.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced coach/mentor.
  • Ability for potential domestic travel up to 25%

Education/ Experience:

Required Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in related field and 5+ years of related experience OR Master's Degree and 3+ years of related experience 4

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
