THE POSITION

The Deputy Secretary for Multimodal Transportation is seeking an Administrative Officer 3 to oversee, coordinate, and manage all grant-related activities within the Multimodal Deputate. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of SAP and grant management systems such as dotGrants and eGrants to perform intricate financial analyses related to new grants, amendments, and invoice processing. Your responsibilities will include leading grant writing workshops and presentations, supervising Grant Specialist staff throughout the grant lifecycle, ensuring adequate funding for grant programs, acting as the business lead for all grant-related IT initiatives, and managing year-end fiscal activities. Furthermore, you will prepare reports and handle various financial transactions in SAP, dotGrants, and eGrants to commit, liquidate, and allocate funds effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
