This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, the Astronaut Experience Program Specialist is responsible providing program operations support for the Astronaut Experience Program.This role assists and supports the Astronaut Experience Team in providing best-in-class customer experiences and in supporting the program needs related to launches and to special events. We are looking for a high-potential team member who is willing to learn and help us positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that management is up to date on schedules, events and commitments; follow up as needed. Ensure that events are organized, followed and attended.
  • Schedule and maintain complex travel, meetings and event calendars and inform parties of times and locations of meetings and events.
  • Schedule complex travel events, itineraries, create agendas and compile documents for travel-related meetings. Handle information with discretion and with high degree of confidentiality.
  • Submit timely and accurate expense reports.
  • Compose internal electronic communication and review customer facing documents and proposals.
  • Partner with the team on developing, releasing and on attending national and international projects, and events often under pressure and with conflicting deadlines.
  • Supporting recruiting activities, special events and ad hoc projects as required.
  • Conduct property tours, handle amenity requests for VIP clients and advise customers on local attractions and on transportation options.
  • Ensures that all arrangements and communication, are handled with discretion and with a high degree of confidentiality.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

  • A self-directed starter with willingness to learn and support astronaut programs and projects.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional business relationships and a provide a superior level of customer support.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, orienting customers and with public presentations.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • 1-3 years of hospitality experience to include hotel, club, and/or restaurant or related.

Work environment:

  • Extended work schedule with early starts and late work hours, weekends, holiday and with ~50% domestic and international business travel.
  • Ideal for self-starters comfortable working in fast-paced and dynamic work environments as well as with high-profile customers.
  • Driver license required.
  • Ability to obtain a US passport.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $50,686.00-$70,960.05
