The Division of Pediatric Neurosciences is seeking a full-time board eligible Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join our thriving division in Grand Rapids, Michigan as Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology. The Neuropsychologist joining this practice will enjoy being part of a rapidly expanding children's hospital and neurosciences program with Physician status and ample opportunities to develop specialized areas of expertise. The Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology in conjunction with the Division Chief of Neurosciences will be responsible for the comprehensive operations of the Section of Pediatric Neuropsychology so that the section supports the mission of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital including clinical services, education, research, and other scholarly activity, and advocacy. Practice Description The Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology will join the Division of Neurosciences. This expanding division includes 6 Pediatric Neuropsychologists, 4 Psychometrists, 3 Pediatric Neurosurgeons, 11 Pediatric Neurologists, and 16 Advanced Practice Providers. Patients are referred from within neurosciences as well as other specialties (e.g., biochemical geneticists). Role Responsibilities Reporting to the Division Chief of Neurosciences, the Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology will be expected to:
Experience Required Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, clinical psychology, or neuropsychology. Candidates who are board-eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). This includes completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology. Experience working in an outpatient and/or inpatient neuropsychology hospital setting is preferred. Demonstrate experience in mentorship. Demonstrate the ability to develop and build innovative programs. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan and be licensed by the time of employment. About Helen DeVos Children's Hospital We fight for every child.
