The Director of Service Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of a portfolio of Field Services offered by Southwire. Additionally, this position serves as the Site Leader for our facility in Arlington and Fort Worth, TX and is responsible for building and maintaining a positive culture. This role must be adept at leading highly technical and skilled teams to deliver major projects. Key Responsibilities
Lead Southwire's Culture of Zero by demonstrating safe and quality conscious work habits throughout all field operations and ensure that all policies and processes are deployed uniformly. Build and engage employees in ways that support our goals as we Build Organizational Capability, Drive Operational Excellence, and Accelerate Growth. Lead and develop continuous improvement programs to increase employee involvement, ensuring a positive work environment is maintained. Drive for results in the areas of productivity and profitability for the various projects including cable injection, cable replacement, overhead distribution work, cable testing, and more. Establish financial performance goals for each project and implement strategies to achieve goals. Cultivate relationships with existing clients through exceptional project delivery. Create workforce plans and work with Field Service Managers to maximize staff productivity and utilization. Complete monthly financial forecasts with project teams. Ensure progress against plan is maintained. Attract, lead and develop a team of highly capable, skilled managers and workforce to support growth of the Field Services business and the company's strategic direction. Provide continuous education to the team to ensure proper procedures, policies and controls are in place. Required Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Specialized Degree: Engineering or equivalent Years of Experience: 8-11 Years Field(s) of Expertise: Operations Preferred Education & Experience
Master's Degree Specialized Degree: Engineering or Equivalent Years of Experience: 12-14 Years Field(s) of Expertise: Operations or quantitative field Spans of Control
