Responsible for the support for mainly the wind and diaphragm cells, but may extend to other cells as needs arise, ensuring their efficient operation and increasing their overall capacity. Additionally, you will serve as a backup for the Kitter Position if no 'in cell' work is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use precision measuring tools to check parts during the processing of diaphragms, pack components and pack assemblies.

  • Visually inspect for flaws and perform all checks and tests on diaphragms and pack assemblies as required. Record all essential information as required (Example: Level checks and push or pull test results on diaphragms, pack assembly thickness, etc.). Remove any non-conforming parts from product flow and take corrective action as appropriate.

  • Follow all approved procedures during the processing of all parts.

  • Notify supervision of part shortages, incorrect materials or discrepancies on orders or prints and when fixtures or processing materials need reordered or repaired to maintain quality parts.

  • Consult with supervision when special or unusual conditions arise during the processing of parts, maintain fixturing / tooling, tag any fixtures requiring rework and notify supervisor

  • Assisting other co-workers when required within this job description.

  • Move parts to required areas including Shipping, Storeroom, next operation or as directed.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties or work related to processor/assembler to assist in pack assembly, CMM measuring, shot peening, prep for heat treat, unpacking from heat treat, unloading EDM, etc.

  • Keep work area clean, safe, and orderly.

  • Cleaning, labeling and serialization to specification as required.

  • Perform other duties as required to maintain a sound operation.

  • Follows all inspection standards and procedures

  • Responsible for filling out and filing various inspection reports as required and forwarding of some reports to various offices.

  • Perform other inspection practices as required.

  • Coordinate closely with Materials team to pull parts and 'KIT' jobs in an organized fashion to suit operations assembly needs. For HP assy., UJ and spindle.

  • Maintain accuracy of assembly 'stock' parts utilized (hardware, clamp nuts, helicoils, ID End Plates) etc. to trigger reorder as necessary to prevent stock outs.

  • Ensure accuracy of kitted parts to include correct quantity, part numbers and routers to allow smooth assembly operations and comply with CERTS team needs.

  • Enter kitted jobs in tracking tool and maintain for accurate job locations

  • Responsible for loading finished products and unloading all supplies, material, parts and equipment purchased from outside sources or products returned by customers.

  • Miscellaneous work as assigned by supervisor.

  • The functions of "B" includes all the job classifications of "C" and "D".

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to operate a jitney/forklift.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

Physical demands- standing, bending, reaching for extended periods of time. Lift up to 50 lbs.
