OVERVIEW The Director of Operations Training is a corporate leadership role responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ASR Group's operations technical training programs across all North American facilities. This role is focused on enhancing training capabilities and ensuring the effective application of training within the operations group to drive measurable business benefits. The Director will lead the development of a forward-looking training strategy that leverages modern learning technologies, ensures compliance, and supports workforce capability development. This role sits on the Operations Leadership Team and oversees the team delivering technical training. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
  
 Develop and execute a multi-year operations training strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce capability development.Lead the adoption and integration of innovative training technologies and platforms to enhance learning effectiveness and engagement.Oversee the governance and effectiveness of training delivery, documentation, and administration across all sites.Lead the development and administration of Operational Leadership Development Technical trainingCollaborate with General Managers, Department Managers, and leaders from Safety, Quality, Environmental, and other support functions to ensure training initiatives align with operational priorities.Establish and maintain standards for training content development, delivery, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.Monitor and report on training effectiveness using KPIs and business impact metrics; lead continuous improvement initiatives based on data insights.Champion a culture of learning and operational excellence by promoting Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices in technical training.Serve as a strategic advisor on training-related aspects of capital projects, including vendor training coordination and learning curve planning.Collaborate with HR, QA and Safety training organizations Support the Senior Operations Training Manager in managing and mentoring a network of site-based training professionals.Ensure alignment with corporate learning frameworks and maintain consistency across the enterprise.
 
 
 WORK EXPERIENCE
 
 
  
 10+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or operations training required5+ years of leadership experience in training strategy and program development requiredExperience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership requiredProven track record of implementing training technologies and driving measurable improvements requiredExperience with Instructional Design or Organizational Development within a refining operation or food manufacturing environment highly preferred

 BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferredLean Six Sigma background preferred
