Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experience Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Day to Day Roles and Responsibilies:
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as the key liaison between project management, planning teams, technical staff, and line leadership
Review and track project status, budgets, and schedules; prepare detailed reports and updates for stakeholders Identify and assess project issues, developing timely resolutions to maintain productivity, ensure quality, and achieve client satisfaction Develop and maintain monitoring tools and processes to track project progress, enabling early intervention and effective problem resolution Lead communication and coordination among project stakeholders, technical teams, and executive management to ensure alignment across all project phases Oversee the delivery of Azure-based solutions, ensuring all deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to promote team collaboration and continuous improvement Track and analyze project performance metrics and key milestones, proactively managing risks and dependencies Collaborate with cloud engineers, developers, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure technical solutions meet all functional, operational, and security requirements Maintain up-to-date project plans, risk registers, and documentation in coordination with the PMO and customer stakeholders Support the configuration, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of Azure infrastructure and related services Ensure full compliance with DHS guidelines and standards, particularly in relation to cybersecurity and performance reporting Deliver regular project briefings and status updates to internal leadership and DHS clients, including preparation of executive-level reports Identify opportunities for process improvement to optimize project delivery and improve stakeholder engagement and satisfaction
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 12 years of exprerience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Proven experience managing and delivering cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience working within an Agile development framework (Scrum, SAFe, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget across multiple technical workstreams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with clients, technical teams, and senior leadership
- Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification Experience working with federal agencies, especially within DHS or other homeland security components Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and experience integrating security into the software development lifecycle Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and government cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP) Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services such as Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure AD Experience with cloud cost optimization, governance, or compliance in a federal environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on client satisfaction and operational efficiency Experience using dashboarding/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau for project performance tracking

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
