About the Position:

Epic Physician Staffing is looking for an Associate Manager of Provider Credentialing who will be responsible for an assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and the management of the provider credentialing team ensuring comprehensive management of privileging and credentialing process for all providers, licensed clinicians, ancillary staff, and credentialing personnel.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the performance and development of direct reports, providing training, coaching, and conducting regular performance reviews.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure proper verification and accurate uploading of applications into the credentialing database.

  • Analyze and prepare reports on application status trends.

  • Assess application and verification information to identify 'red flags' or non-compliance; communicate issues to relevant parties and recommend actions.

  • Manage communications between multiple parties, ensuring timely updates to the credentialing database; provide status reports and practitioner participation information to internal and external customers.

  • Communicate with federal, state, and local agencies, hospitals, medical review boards, and malpractice carriers to obtain provider and practitioner information.

  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure current and accurate provider information and delegation compliance; audit files based on internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, DSHS, NCQA, JCAHO, DNV).

  • Stay updated on accreditation, licensing, and other regulatory requirements to ensure credentialing policies are compliant.

  • Supervise personnel, including work allocation, training, promotion, procedure enforcement, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and recommend personnel actions; motivate employees for peak productivity.

What You'll Bring:

  • Three years in education or healthcare staffing credentialing, including experience with Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) and CRM/Credentialing systems.

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) can substitute for experience.

  • Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job's impact to the organization.

  • Understand, interpret, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Maintain trust through honesty, adherence to principles, and personal accountability

  • Obtain facts and data pertaining to an issue or question.

  • Make quality decisions and meet timeliness of those decisions.

  • Share responsibility, authority, and accountability.

  • Create a motivating climate, achieve teamwork, train, and develop, measure work in progress, take corrective action.

  • Engage effectively in dialogue.

Salary:$65,000 - $75,000 Annually
