The Innovation team reports into the Chief Strategy Officer and works to deliver longer-term transformative solutions that meet the vision of our Village. We work on high value projects in partnership with the field, technology, product, research teams and bring in external expertise when appropriate.Members of the innovation team gain significant exposure to senior leadership and can have significant impact on organization, while accelerating their career development.

The Director of Innovation role is a leadership position within the team. The Director will manage a team of researchers, analysts and business partners to develop problem statements, hypotheses and project plans. The Director will independently lead projects across a variety of topics, building a deep understanding of the business that will open up multiple career paths over time.

Location: Flexible, though more travel likely required if not in Denver

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead highly interdisciplinary team to create transformative solutions to some of the Village's biggest challenges
  • Apply design thinking approaches to create new solutions
  • Lead a full project lifecycle through research, data analytics, discovery, prototyping and piloting
  • Manage a portfolio of topics, bringing business judgement to what is moved forward at each stage of the innovation process
  • Creating a culture that is open, respectful, collaborative, driven and focused on impact

About you:

  • Outstanding conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to push thinking, question assumptions, ideate and create value through research backed insights
  • Strong sense of accountability; ability to own projects and drive them to completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop credibility quickly and build successful relationships
  • Experience managing, developing and mentoring other teammates
  • Enjoys being part of a team

Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in a design, innovation, strategy, product, or an analytical environment. A candidate with an MBA or advanced degree is preferred, but not required. A background in healthcare is preferred.
