Job Summary
The Southeastern Center of Robotics Education ( SCORE) is excited to begin the search for a part-time Administrative Support Specialist. This position will provide essential administrative and programmatic support to the unit and contribute to our mission of providing effective robotics education to K-12 students and teachers across the Southeastern United States.

*On average, this position will work 30 hours per week and will include some weekend hours and overnight travel.
Essential Functions

  • Management of databases of program and participant information.
  • Overseeing office supply inventory and ordering.
  • Coordination of hospitality for events and programs
  • Management of sales for all programs and invents to include ordering and tracking of promotional and sales items.
  • Assist in coordinating all summer camps to include planning, logistics, and oversight.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications
Level I - High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in administrative support services.
Level II - High school diploma or equivalent plus six years of experience in administrative support services.
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirements, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications




Minimum Skills and Abilities
Candidates must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. In addition, an enthusiasm for working with K-12 students and teachers to further robotics education is required. Candidates must be highly organized and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Technology Skills
Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft Office formats and be willing to work in a highly collaborative and teamwork-oriented environment.

Desired Qualifications


Desired Qualifications
Candidates with program experience is highly desired. In addition, experience with robotics platforms such as VEX Robotics (IQ, V5, VexGo), Raspberry Pi, Dash and Dot and others is a plus.
