Lead Case Manager - Insurance Coverage

Description

    This is an in-person position. The office is located at Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME.

    The Lead Case Manager - The Lead performs all functions of the Case Manager - Insurance Coverage role. This position is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented team member ready to step into a leadership role. The Lead Case Manager will serve as a peer resource, support onboarding, assist with complex cases, and help uphold quality and consistency in service delivery. This is a S13 level position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    *Serve as a point of support for case managers regarding documentation, workflows, and best practices

    *Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members

    *Support informal case reviews and help identify training needs

    *Promote adherence to workflows and process improvement

    *Foster communication and collaboration across the team

    *Participate in meetings and disseminate relevant information or updates to team members as needed

    Preferred Qualifications:

    *Strong grasp of case management protocols and internal systems

    *Consistent performance and high-quality documentation

      Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

      1. Education: Bachelor's Degree or two years of relevant experience preferred.
      2. License/Certifications: Certification as a Maine Enrollment Assistor or Certified Application Assistor with the Health Insurance Marketplace preferred. Valid Driver's license required.
      3. Experience: Two years of relevant experience in social/human services, health care or related field required. One year of experience in same field of specialization required. Knowledge of state and federal agencies, community resources, experience with community outreach and networking, and strong advocacy skills required.
