Social Media Specialist Pay Grade: 920 Location: Central Office Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Office Environment WC - 8810 Brief Description The purpose of this position is to represent the Brazos River Authority's programs and services via social media platforms supporting the mission, goals, objectives, and strategic plan of the Brazos River Authority by translating complex information into accessible and engaging content for our diverse audience. Responsibilities include: using data analysis to develop and implement strategies and create content tailored to the target audience; regularly monitoring and reporting statistics to improve overall delivery of content, making recommendations on the appropriate tools and strategies for platform utilization improvement; logging and tracking posts to meet state or federal communication requirements; communicating via various social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Nextdoor, and YouTube; knowledge of social media scheduling platforms, distilling information into short, engaging social media posts while using texts, photos, videos, and graphics, among others; creating graphics and video content using Canva or other graphics software; Other responsibilities include logging complaints reported on social media channels, interacting with other employees, and any other duties as assigned. Participates in departmental on-call rotation to post and update information on the BRA website and to post information and answer questions and comments on social media. Job Requirements

STARTING SALARY RANGE $24.79 to $31.61 per hour. This is a non-exempt position. POSTING DATE July 24, 2025. Open until filled. Today, BRA's staff develops and distributes water supplies, provides water and wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, and pursues water conservation through public education programs.
