Summary: Provides management, direction, and leadership to achieve the Division's business objectives as stated in the annual business plan. Responsibilities encompass the following operating and support departments: Plant Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Quality and Field Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Prepare and implement the annual business plan for the Division that translates strategic business objectives into specific goals for each operating department.

  • Monitor the Division's progress utilizing a "Scoreboard" reporting system that highlights operational and financial performance targets.

  • Communicate performance to objective on a timely basis to the Division.

  • Implement action plans to correct negative variances.

  • Focus on organization development through personal performance appraisal, defined training programs, and succession planning.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain a Quality Improvement Program that ensures products and services that meet all customer and industry standards.

  • Set specific performance targets for PONC (price of non-conformance), culls, and rework.

  • Highlight safety as a Division philosophy working closely with the Safety Committees in establishing safety standards, safety training requirements, and accident rate targets (ORIR, LWCIR).

  • Direct and coordinate with the Division sales team the promotion and sale of products and services, developing new customers/markets and increasing overall market share.

  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Production. Maintain key customer contact to develop long term business relationships/partnerships.

  • Keep updated on the latest industry technology, best demonstrated industry practices, competitor capabilities and equipment and material supplier capabilities.

  • Drive the Division toward Operating Excellence by implementing the latest technology and best practices.

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of an environmental plan that ensures the operation is in full compliance with federal, state, and local air and water quality regulations.

  • Participate in various industry, manufacturing, and trade associations to further promote Tindall's market position.

  • Directly manages/supervises department managers - Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Field Operations - as well as other functional/operational areas as identified in the current organization chart.

  • Planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; addressing complaints; and solving problems.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Industrial, Engineering or Technical degree preferred; MBA preferred.
  • 10 (+) years' experience in a manufacturing environment - precast/BDS concrete or similar manufacturing operation - with direct experience in departmental management.

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel as requirement including overnight.
