How you will make history here...

By becoming a catalyst for operational excellence and cultural transformation at one of Campbell's most unique and legacy-rich facilities. At the Downingtown plant-Campbell's oldest and only frozen food site-the candidate will lead with an innovative mindset in a historic setting, blending tradition with innovation. This position plays a pivotal role during the 2nd shift.

What you will do...

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this individual will coach front-line leadership and engage hourly technicians in plant-wide initiatives, including Continuous Improvement Projects and High-Performance Organization (HPO) initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring safety, product quality, line efficiency, budgetary goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and organizational capability/employee morale. The individual will lead in a High-Performance Organization to execute strategies aligned with the department across all three shifts.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy

  • Set clear direction and priorities across all shifts.

  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and capital forecasting.

  • Foster a high-performance culture and positive employee relations.

  • Operations & Performance

  • Oversee daily operations and labor management.

  • Drive efficiency, safety, quality, and cost control.

  • Track and close gaps in KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale).

  • Team Development

  • Train, coach, and develop frontline leaders.

  • Promote teamwork and succession planning.

  • Hire for attitude, train for skill.

  • Systems & Communication

  • Implement and lead daily management systems (DDS, CL, RCFA).

  • Communicate results and needs to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, Product Development, and more.

Who will you work with...

  • In this role, you'll work closely with a variety of teams and individuals to ensure smooth operations and high performance. Your direct reporting line is to the Operations Manager, and you'll oversee a team that includes line operators and hourly employees.

  • You'll collaborate daily with Maintenance, Sanitation teams, Schedulers and Shift Supervisors, Quality Assurance and Plant Management

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)

  • High school diploma/GED required, with 2+ years of supervisory experience or 3+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor's degree required, with 3 months of manufacturing experience.

It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)

  • 3+ years of operations leadership experience (Operations Supervisor, Operations Team Lead, Sr Operations level role) within a manufacturing environment

  • Expertise in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

  • Cross functional operations experience with a strong understanding of various plant function

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$66,000-$94,900

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
