About the Job

Table/Game Crew
Table and game crew are individuals who serve in positions that impact the student-athletes during competition. They serve in positions that affect the game as directed by the game officials assigned by the Big Ten Conference. These positions include keeping being the official scorekeeper, scoreboard/game clock operators, public address announcers, and other miscellaneous positions needed for successful completion of an athletics competition. Serving in these roles require candidates to be extremely knowledgeable of Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules. They do NOT serve as game officials but greatly affect the competition for all student-athletes involved.

Qualifications

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Have knowledge and understand NCAA and Big Ten rules and interpretations for certain sports Commitment to working most or all home games during the season
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Must be willing to handle situations and solve problems quickly under difficult and stressful circumstances
Strong communications skills
Experience with technological devices that impact the game

About the Department

As the state's premier Division I institution, the University of Minnesota athletic department generates a high level of public interest and media coverage. Golden Gopher student-athletes are featured on television, radio, websites and in magazines and newspapers nationwide.

The University of Minnesota Athletic Communications office handles all media requests for Golden Gopher coaches and student-athletes. Media should contact the appropriate sport contact for information regarding access.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: 15.25 - $28.00; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
