GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Drive positive financial and operational benefits from energy and sustainability initiatives. Research and identify opportunities that utilize technology to enable greater resource efficiency, create new financial opportunities and provide more sustainable outcomes. Build business cases for identified E&S opportunities and prioritize investment. Oversee$10-20M in annual investments/re-investments for multi-site company with 2800 buildings and annual energy spend of $70+M. Work cross-functionally to execute initiatives, driving standardization and process efficiency. Partner with sustainability team to develop and deliver corporate environmental goals related to energy efficiency and climate change. Innovate to continually improve financial, operational and environmental performance. Support the Facility Services team and other corporate real estate operations.

Areas of focus include: energy efficiency, smart building technology, renewable energy, energy information systems, utility rebates, green building, energy budgeting, innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct smart buildings program
  • Direct LED lighting upgrade program
  • Lead renewable energy virtual power purchase agreement initiative
  • Direct programmatic capital (HVAC, WH, Generator) program
  • Deliver/maintain energy data management system, reporting, ad hoc requests
  • Deliver savings from utility rebate program
  • Drive standardization and process improvement thru national vendors / FBO program
  • Innovate/discover new opportunities: IOT, onsite renewables, intelligent batteries, net-zero bldg..
  • Other duties as assigned. Generator program, facility management support, central business office projects, energy budget, utility start/stop

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) AP certification

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS

Travel: monthly

Nights/Weekends: weekly

Salary/ Wage Range

$133,000.00-$195,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
