Job Description

The Senior Manager, Learning Facilitator is responsible for the facilitation of learning experiences supporting Global Product and Value Added Services employees.

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience using their skills in facilitating learning solutions to improve business outcomes and performance. They also have direct experience working in a product management role and/or supporting a product department, function, or organization from a facilitation standpoint. They will work closely and form strong partnerships within Visa University and the business to build strong relationships, earn credibility, and ensure alignment. This role requires training and qualifying different facilitation contributors, such as subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty/ambassadors, and learner partners to expand Learning Experience Delivery.

This role will report to the Director, Learning Experience supporting Global Product and Value Added Solutions (VAS) Learning at Visa University.

Responsibilities

  • 50% of responsibilities focus on facilitating learning experiences. The remaining 50% is dedicated to program development, training prep and followup, administrative tasks, coaching and mentoring.
  • Apply mastery of topic knowledge and experience to deliver exceptional learning experiences for all knowledge levels and audiences
  • Collaborate with fellow facilitators and the Facilitation Center of Excellence (COE) to identify and develop resources and standards for how facilitators deliver exceptional learning experiences based on business strategy and priorities
  • Partner with learner partners and designers to provide recommendations for learning experience enhancements, redesigning or building of training materials, including job aids and eLearning
  • Partner with program management partners and the Learning Experience Enablement team, as needed (e.g., schedule rooms and facilities, setup virtual classes in the Learning Management System (LMS), ensure all necessary equipment/tasks are in place prior to training)
  • Facilitate learning experiences, primarily virtually, against a schedule that will meet learner demands and support organizational goals and priorities
  • Provide preclass and followup support for learner queries as needed in a timely manner.
  • Promote the 3Es (Education, Exposure, and Experience) approach by supporting online forums, communities, and coaching that reinforce learning outcomes, enable learner engagement and connection pre or post training sessions
  • Engage with the learner population to develop empathy and understanding
  • Identify potential learning gaps and/or needs of clients, partners and employees and ensure feedback is provided to learning partners
  • Engage with business function/enterprise teams to stay on top of the latest information and developments in your domain areas
  • Collaborate as SME and reviewer during content development and continuous improvement updates as needed
  • Ensure learner surveys are completed, and the highest standards are maintained based on management, stakeholder, and COE standards
  • Lead, train, certify, coach and develop Visa University faculty and Ambassadors to scale delivery in your subject areas, as needed
  • Work with other facilitators as needed for cross-training purposes
  • Learn new business topics quickly and deliver effectively as assigned
  • Travel may be required, up to 10%

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Has direct experience working in a product management role and/or supporting a product department, function, organization from a facilitation standpoint
  • Comfortable consulting with VU, the business, and external stakeholders as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT) to enhance work efficiency, accelerate content creation, and support innovative approaches to learning solution design and delivery.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and consulting skills
  • Ability to prioritize own work, handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization
  • Works cooperatively with team members and business partners, displaying a high level of motivation and enthusiasm
  • Customer obsessed, responsive to queries in a consistent manner and with a sense of urgency
  • Progressive experience in facilitating engaging and impactful learning experiences
  • Deep knowledge of product management and the payments business
  • Strong, polished executive presence and business acumen a must
  • Passion for teaching and facilitation and providing the best learning experiences for learners
  • Ability to deliver learning experiences using single channel or blended approaches, including virtual and classroom based instructor led training (ILT), coaching, peer to peer learning, on the job learning and eLearning
  • Ability to comprehend and translate complex concepts into terms that are easy to understand for audiences in an influential and persuasive manner
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing content and strategies
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 120,900.00 to 175,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
