Position Summary: We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our sales team. This individual will retain and service existing or assigned accounts through effective customer relationship management. He/she will also actively seek out new sales opportunities with new and existing customers, as well as maintain communication with the Plants, Finance, Customers, and Sales team. He/she will also improve current accounts and customer relations; educate current and prospective customers on products and generate profitable sales.



Responsibilities:




  • Meet assigned targets for sales volume, revenue, profitability, and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, R&D and management resources in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Working closely with operations to support customer needs through various foam applications
  • Utilize company tools to collect market intelligence, contribute to the innovation process with product ideas and market opportunities
  • Support customers with processing of RFQs and other information requests in a timely manner
  • Complete reports in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Four-year college degree in engineering, business, or communication
  • 5 - 10 years in sales, preferably manufacturing and solution selling based
  • Demonstrated ability to grow customer accounts while improving customer service
  • A high level of organizational skills and the ability to work remotely and independently
  • Strong customer relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) are essential, along with attention to detail.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills and be capable in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Background in the Polyurethane Foam or Bedding/Furniture OEMs
  • Experience utilizing a CRM (SAP preferred)
  • Strong cross-functional team skills operating in a matrix environment and drive to succeed
  • 50% + travel
