This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. This is a/an 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job with months off. The number of months off will be determined by the position's FTE percentage. The timing of months off will be set to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to HR105 FTE positions should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. This position is eligible for benefits associated with any full-time position. The salary grade and range listed in the posting is reflective of a 100% Full-time position. Full-time equivalency job offers may fall outside of the listed range due to the assigned percentage of effort.POSITION SPECIFICS The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence seeks a Customer Service Representative for the Pollock Testing Center. This is a 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job with full Penn State benefits. The working period is mid-August through mid-May. Upon successful performance of duties, this term position has a strong possibility of renewal. The primary role of this position is to interact with students which includes but is not limited to:
This position will need to know, understand, and follow Testing Center and PSU policies. Also, the role interacts with faculty and staff, answering questions about the testing system and Testing Center policy. This position is filled at the Support level. Requirements:
Successful candidates will have strong customer service, communication, be detail-oriented, and be able to describe these skills with examples. Because we serve a diverse student population, prior experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is preferred. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
