Position Overview

The Mold Maintenance Technician is a plant-wide support position to ensure the plant is running to optimal performance by performing mold cleaning, support for mold set up, and mold troubleshooting


Schedule:



  • 12-Hour Rotating Day Shift
  • Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then alternates)
  • Also available in Night Shift


Pay starting at $28/hr depnding on experience

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

*Clean, ice blast and grease all molds and mold components (follow Work Instructions for some molds)


* Clean excess grease from injection molding presses (tie bars, rails, etc.)


* Clean excess parts from injection molding presses (frame, rails, conveyors, etc.)


* Disassemble/assemble molds from sets, clean, organize and store


* Press and auxiliary equipment cleaning (press platen, additive feeders, etc.)


* Monthly carrier cleaning and greasing maintenance


* Perform weekly safety inspections on the tool room overhead cranes


* Perform monthly safety audits on the tool room flammable cabinets


* Follow and enhance 5S - Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, Sustain


* Perform small machining tasks


* And other responsibilities and projects as assigned


* Other duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience

* Education: High School Diploma. Preferred 2-year degree in Mold Tech.


* Experience: Experience with injection molding or having a technical machining background desirable Preferredexperience with mold tech, mold setting, and press start-ups.


* Specific skills: Mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Attention todetail and design to learn.


* Equipment & Machinery: Injection Molding presses and machines.


* Computer Experience: Basic computer skills required.
