Job Description

The mission of Visa's Operational Resilience Governance team is to ensure alignment of business goals. We are looking for an intermediate-level GOV contributor to support our Operational Resilience program. This role involves assisting in enforcing governance frameworks, policies, and ensuring accountability and transparency within the program.

  • Support smaller governance projects to meet and exceed internal and global regulatory requirements and assessments of operational resilience.
  • Assist in developing accurate, effective presentations that communicate Visa's resilience programs to senior leaders, auditors, regulators, clients, and ecosystem partners.
  • Engage with leadership and peers to maintain regulatory and governance balance while identifying & implementing initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold clear roles and responsibilities for program oversight to ensure effective management and accountability.
  • Interpret and enforce straightforward governance policies and frameworks to ensure the program operates within established guidelines, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines expand your knowledge of advanced governance guidance.
  • Learn to utilize Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor program performance and identify opportunities for enhancement, within Visa and the broader payment ecosystem.
  • Adapt to meet minimum compliance, including coordinating Visa partnerships to deliver accurate and appropriate deliverables.
  • Collaborate with team members to conduct straightforward reviews and assessments, looking for integrity and effectiveness of the program and support coaching and mentoring of partners on governance and regulatory matters.
  • Communicate identified risks associated with operational resilience to leadership and recommend controls to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Oversee remediation activities to address any identified issues ensuring at least minimum compliance with established standards and policies.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Proven experience with regulatory engagement and compliance oversight, Strong understanding of and ability to interpret regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of crisis management, business continuity, vendor resilience, and disaster recovery.
  • Intermediate risk management, problem-solving, and influencing abilities, and growing communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Other experience a plus: AI/ML technology, data quality management (DQM), Everbridge, Fusion, VEOCI, crisis management, business continuity, vendor resilience, and disaster recovery best practices.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,600 to 145,150 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
