WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:



  • Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $165,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:




  • Lead and Manage a High-Performing Team: Oversee a team of developers by setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, supporting career development, and regularly cascading strategic communications from executive leadership.






  • Own the Intelligent Automation Operating Model: Provide end-to-end ownership of the Enterprise Intelligent Automation function, continuously optimizing it to support organizational growth and evolving business needs. Evolve the Intelligent Automation roadmap and ensure alignment with enterprise and departmental goals. Establish governance models for automation pipelines, prioritization, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation.






  • Drive a robust automation pipeline by identifying opportunities through a deep understanding of insurance business processes and pain points. Develop and implement strategies to expand the pipeline in alignment with modernization initiatives and emerging capabilities






  • Align with Enterprise Strategy and Standards: Contribute to and align IA initiatives with the broader IT automation strategy, enterprise policies, and capabilities to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability. Align with IT SDLC standards and ensure automations meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR).






  • Promote a Culture of Automation: Establish and support the adoption of tools, frameworks, and best practices that empower developers to automate manual tasks and processes across the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate ROI.






  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Lead the implementation of transformational automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual workload, improving productivity, and increasing gross margins. Measure and Improve Performance: Define and track KPIs, metrics, and analytics to monitor team output and project success, ensuring data-driven continuous improvement.






  • Ensure Effective Communication and Governance: Collaborate with key stakeholders, manage change initiatives, align with the enterprise AI Center of Excellence on responsible AI use, and oversee departmental budget and service delivery to ensure alignment and accountability.





WHAT YOU'LL BRING:




  • 5+ years of experience in automation, digital transformation, or IT operations, preferably within the insurance or financial services industries.






  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience with automation teams or initiatives.






  • Hands-on knowledge of RPA platforms (UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism) and familiarity with AI/ML/NLP technologies.






  • Proven experience managing projects within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including leading PI Planning, identifying and managing cross-team dependencies, and providing strategic recommendations to ensure seamless and timely delivery. Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).






  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.






  • Experience managing vendor relationships and offshore delivery teams.






  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or information technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States, with quarterly business travel to our offices in Omaha, NE.



PREFERRED:




  • Experience working in the insurance and/or financial services industry.






  • Preferred Certifications: UiPath Certified RPA Professional, Project Management (PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.






  • Insurance-related certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU).
